JustDriveApp locks your phone while driving to prevent texting and or calling while driving. The parent is notified when the app is removed, when the GPS is disabled because the app is dependent upon the GPS to calculate the speed in order to lock the phone while driving, or when any settings are changed. These settings include the parents phone number, the teens phone number, password, etc.How does the app know how to notify the parent? When the app is installed it will ask for a few pieces of information. The parents phone number, your teenagers phone number, your E-mail address, mph at which to trigger the lock, and a password with a confirmation password. It uses the parent telephone number which is stored in a local database on the phone, to send any important notifications, any updates to the app, or if your teenager tampers with the app in anyway to try to get around the application.
There is a website that works with JustDriveApp to retrieve any information you have entered into the app in case you ever need it. Which is stored in a database. Information is pushed to the JustDriveApp database when you make any changes to the apps information like phone numbers, password changes, or when pin is set. This is a key feature to ensure you never get locked out!
